The project aims to strengthen community resilience and promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the East Region of Cameroon. It seeks to reduce inequalities in access to essential services by improving the ability of persons with disabilities to access primary health care, social protection mechanisms, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Through a participatory and inclusive approach, the project will focus on raising awareness on exploitation and abuse (including sexual, physical, emotional, and neglect), providing mobile clinic services, strengthening the capacity of community and institutional actors, rehabilitating WASH facilities in selected health centers, delivering cash transfers, and supporting income generating activities.
By enhancing the active participation of persons with disabilities in community life and decision-making processes, the project will contribute to greater social inclusion, the economic empowerment of beneficiaries, and the strengthening of community cohesion in the subdivisions where the project is being implemented.
